Spring is my favorite time of the year. This is the time we see new life emerging out of the lifeless soil and the time for influencing what will grow. It’s planting time!
I can tell what seeds you planted in the spring by looking at your garden in the summer. It is no surprise when we plant tomato seeds and get tomatoes. Your zucchini patch didn’t grow from pumpkin seeds. By planting the seeds of what I want to harvest, I can influence what will come out of the soil.
So, too, I can see what faith seeds you planted in your past by the fruit you are bearing today. Using this principle, you can influence your future by the “seeds” you plant today. God’s principle of sowing and reaping is actually a promise. What is your seed? Your words and your faith. Mark 11:23 is where Jesus told His followers they can use their words to influence what they want to achieve. Jesus said several times that your seed of faith would bear fruit (let it be to you according to your faith) i.e. Matt 9:29; 15:28, Mark 10:52.
The Scriptures say so much about this topic. Examine Matthew 11:20, Mark 9:23;11:22-24, Luke 7:50;8:48;17:6, Hebrews 11, Romans 10:17 for starters. I want to encourage you to take a look at where you are and compare that to where you want to be (in any area – health, ministry, etc.). As you come before the Lord and seek His will, start to visualize (see yourself) where you want to be in this area. Let your faith be strong and start to plant faith word seeds today with expectation for your tomorrow. Your words, aligned with God’s will, planted in faith, will bear fruit. You have God’s Word on it!
