Have you ever have a bad attitude about doing something, helping others, taking time for others? Have you ever just been rude or grumpy towards others? I know I have and it is wrong. I read in Colossians 3:17 (NKJ) And what ever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him. We need to keep in mind that what ever we do or say, we are doing or saying it as representing Jesus Christ. How would Jesus say or do it? How did Jesus say or do it? He would not be grumpy, rude or have a bad attitude. He would be compassionate, patient, kind, helpful, truthful, tactful and available. Sometimes the Scriptures can hit us smack in the face – and we need that. If we are aware that every thing we say or do is a representation of Christ in us, I believe we would behave differently.
If we seek God at the start of each day and ask Him to help us do and speak as He would, then we would act and speak differently. Then our attitude would be different. It takes work on our part to not let our feelings and our moods direct us. Our resource is God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. Seek Him.
