Do you ever feel like you are putting out, giving, working to help others and you just get tired of doing it?
You wonder if all your effort is worth it. You ask yourself, ” Am I making a difference?”. You say to yourself, “Why continue?”.
I know it can be tiring and it can wear you down trying to do good, trying to do the work the Lord has called you to, especially when you do not see much or any fruit. But hang in there, keep going, don’t stop. Your work will pay off, we are told so.
Galatians 6:9-10 (NIV) Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
Proverbs 3:27 (NIV) Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is in your power to act.
Don’t give up on doing good, don’t give up on helping others, on encouraging others, on being a friend to others. Keep up your God-given good work. God notices and God will give you a harvest. God will give you the fruit of your efforts. Take time to recharge, to rest in Him and then continue to do good.
