Life is Full of Changes

by Pastor Dave

Our bodies change over time, our children change, our community changes. Most of us do not like change. We like things to stay the same so we can feel secure. We like things to be like they are. But as anyone can see and experience, things in our lives have changed. The world we once knew is changing rapidly and not for the better. The country we grew up in is not the same. Even our communities have changed.

A lot of this change is not for the better. Quite often it is a change from good to bad. Sin is being called good and righteousness is being called evil. Doing right is laughed at and doing wicked is praised. What was once a safe place to live is now becoming dangerous. Our lives are full of negative changes. There is very little positive change in our lives today.

BUT GOD!!!

Malachi 3:6 tells us, “I the Lord do not change” (NIV) and in Psalm 102:27, speaking of God, it says “But you remain the same, and your years will never end (NIV). Hebrews 13:8 reads “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (NIV). God does not change. He is always the same. What this means is that we can count on HIM. He is dependable, always there.

We see throughout the Bible that God is always reaching out to man. He has made a way to deal with our sin. He is always looking for ways to forgive us and call us to Himself. He deals with sin and paves the way for salvation. He loves us and wants to bless us and give us a good life. He wants to set us free of our burdens, set us free of our shame, set us free of our guilt, our anger and our depression. God has loved you and still loves you. God has made a way through Jesus Christ for you to be set free and for you walk daily with Him.

The Bible says that if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that is true, you will be saved.

The Bible also teaches us that if you once walked with God but have turned to your own way, God is calling you to come back, be forgiven and restored.

God does not change, you can always count on HIM!!!!
