It’s harvest time!

By Pastor Dave

It is harvest time for my garden. First came cucumbers which, when harvested, I had to take time to pickle. Then tomatoes to can, then cabbage to make sour kraut, then potatoes to wash and store, now beets and carrots to freeze and can. Harvest time is busy and sweaty and dirty and non stop. Harvest is difficult but, at the end of it, we have full shelves, full bins and a full freezer.

Think about the Church now. Do you truly want revival and to see souls saved? Harvest of souls, like harvest of the garden, is difficult, time consuming and dirty. Now there are people needing to be set free, needing healing, needing fellowship, needing teaching and training. Harvest in a Church will disrupt the “usual” and will invade your comfort zone. Harvest in a Church means things will not stay the same. Luke 10:1-2 Jesus said the harvest is abundant, plentiful, and we need to pray for workers. I also believe that means we need to be the workers. We need to be willing to sweat, work, be busy and get dirty and work the harvest.

I pray you pray for harvest, I pray you be a worker of the harvest, I pray that you want and expect a harvest. The souls are worth it.
