Things change, people change, neighborhoods change, just about everything in the world changes. With all the changes, it is hard to know what we can count on and what we can be sure of. We see in Hebrews 13:8 that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Now to me, that is comforting. The same Jesus that healed in the past, heals today. The same Jesus that saved sinners in the past, saves sinners today. The same Jesus that gave peace, hope, comfort and blessings in the past does so today.
What Jesus did in the past He will do today for you. What do you need? What problem are you facing? What do you need help for? Jesus is what you need. He has promised to take care of all who call on him. I can count on Jesus. He is my rock because He never changes. Therefore, His salvation, love, peace, comfort, power, and deliverance are always available for me and you. Politics does not change Him. Opinion polls do not change Him. Society does not change Him. He is the same, unchanging through it all. You can trust Jesus with all your hurts, pains, worries, fears, hopes and dreams. Come to Jesus now, you can count on Him.
