Mathew 22:37 (CSB) [Jesus] said to him,”Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.”
What does it mean to love the Lord? What does it mean to love the Lord with all our heart and soul and your mind? Most of you know that I am married to Jennie and have been for 46 years. I can tell you I love Jennie and that she is the most important person in my life but if you can not see it by my words or actions, what would you say about me saying I love her?
What if I only talked to her when I was in trouble, or needed something? What if I never spent time with her and what if I never spent any money on her? What if I hung out with other women and talked with other women and spent my money on other woman? Would you say that I love Jennie with all my heart, soul and mind? Would you say I loved her at all? I would guess no.
Now, let me ask you, Do you love Jesus? How much time do you spend with Him? How much do you talk with Him and how much are you willing to spend on Him? Are you with others when you should be with Him? To love the Lord with all your heart, soul and mind means that it should show in how you live. It should be obvious to others by your actions.
So, do you love the Lord?
