When going on a long hike, a prudent person will take with them a backpack with supplies they think they need as well as emergency supplies “just in case”. The Lord said He will never leave you or forsake you 12 times in Scripture (Deu 31:6, Joshua 1:5, 1 Kings 8:57, 1 Chr 28:20, Ps 9:10, Ps 23:4, Ps 37:28, Ps 94:14, Isa 41:10, Heb 13:5,6). Besides meaning wherever you go, He goes, it also means He is available to you wherever you go (Phil 4:19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.).
Since God has promised He will never leave you, He will never allow you to go anywhere without Him. And where He goes, His supply goes. Why do you act like a hiker without a backpack? Is the Lord’s arm too short to help you (Num 11:23)? Do you think God’s supply ran out just when you needed Him to come through for you? You know the answer to these questions is “a thousand times, NO!”, so let your actions match what you know.
Jehovah Jireh, the Lord your provider, has already made the way. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, A very present help in trouble. All you have to do is ask, believe and receive.
