Today is a new day loaded with opportunities to serve God and His Kingdom. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone (James 4:13-14), however, if you have tomorrow, it will also start as a new day. Yesterday’s opportunities are gone. Do not wallow in regret for yesterday’s missed opportunities (Phil 3:13). Make the most of the day while it is “today”. Ask God what He is doing in the moment and how you can partner with Him. Don’t be so concerned about what others think. Remember, you will be judged by the Righteous Judge for all you do. Nothing is hidden from God. Give Him first place. Be obedient in the little things (Luke 19:17) and the Lord will trust you with more.
Do you want God to use you for greater and greater things? Obeying God in the little things sets you up for more. Keep your eyes in your upward calling and don’t let the opinions of others hold you back. Each will stand before the Lord and will be judged not only for what was done, but also for the attitude of the heart while doing it. Don’t be weary in doing good (Gal 6:9). Finish well so you will hear “‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” (Matt 25:21)
This is the day the Lord has made. Rejoice and be glad in it! (Psa 118:24)
